The State Older Worker Community Service Employment Program was established in accordance with the provisions of the Older Worker Community Service Employment Act of 1985. The program itself actually began in 1973. The purpose of this program is to offer part-time employment opportunities in community service positions for persons who are 55 years of age or older and meet income eligibility.
