The WRAAA Senior Centers provide a limited number of nutritious hot meals delivered to seniors unable to leave their homes due to illness, disability or frailty. Meals provide 1/3 of the U.S. Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) and comply with DAAS standards. Weekend frozen meals may also available in some areas. Contact your local senior center for more information.
Transportation
Transportation services are available through the WRAAA Senior Center network. First priority for the senior center vans is transportation to and from the centers, but stops are made along the way at local grocery stores, pharmacies, and other places as scheduled. The vans also transport seniors to and from medical facilities and to recreational outings.
Socialization & Recreation
A significant purpose of all WRAAA Senior Centers is to facilitate our clients’ involvement in activities to promote social interaction and reduce social isolation. We schedule a range of activities to fit all interests providing personal enrichment, satisfying use of leisure time, or the development of new skills or knowledge.
