Personal Emergency Response - Help Line
WRAAA is pleased to offer what we believe to be the finest personal emergency response system in Arkansas. Healthcare organizations are incorporating innovative technologies and community based services to help elderly, disabled and chronically-ill populations remain secure and independent at home. Expanded utilization of home safety products and assistive technologies augment traditional home care to support successful aging in place.
Our System, monitored by American Medical Alert Corp's (AMAC) state-of-the-art response center, provides an instant two-way voice link between an individual in distress and 24-hour monitoring personnel to facilitate the delivery of medical assistance in an emergency.
Because our Care Manager is assigned to your case, the devices are monitored on a regular basis, serviced by local office staff, and each client receives one-on-one instruction on how to use and test the system. And, unlike some other vendors offering a similar service, you, the client, are able to participate in directing both who gets contacted, and in what order, in the event of an emergency.
The Care Manager will also assist in selecting the best location in your home for the system, and conduct an activator range test in your home to determine the in-home range of the activator, or "panic button".
Our personal emergency response system Help Line is available through both private-pay, and through the State of Arkansas Elders Choices Program, if eligible. Please contact WRAAA if a personal emergency response system might be beneficial for you or a loved one.
