The White River Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is adding a Caremanager to work in the Stone County area. This position will perform professional assessments of elderly individual’s capabilities and the family’s abilities to provide care. The qualified applicant will be a highly motivated and a strong self starter. The applicant will also have knowledge of public assistance programs and be able to produce accurate, detailed records. This position works closely with the agency’s In Home Services Program. Travel within Stone County is required. Experience working with the elderly helpful. Must reside in or near the area of responsibility: and be licensed in the state of Arkansas as a social worker (Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Social Worker), a Registered Nurse or a licensed practical nurse; or have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a health and human services field, plus two years’ experience in the delivery of human services to the elderly; or have performed satisfactorily as a case manager serving the targeted population for a period of two years(experience must be within the last three years). A Registered Nurse is needed to work part-time in our fast paced In-Home Services Program (non-medical) in the Stone County area. The qualified applicant must be a team player, be able to multitask, organized, flexible, and able to travel throughout the Stone County area assessing the needs of current and potential clients. This position will also perform Supervisory Home Visits. At least two years nursing experience, preferably in the Home Care environment, plus one year supervisory and management experience is required. Excellent computer skills are a must. The State Older Worker Community Service Employment Program was established in accordance with the provisions of the Older Worker Community Service Employment Act of 1985. The program itself actually began in 1973. The purpose of this program is to offer part-time employment opportunities in community service positions for persons who are 55 years of age or older and meet income eligibility.
