WHITE
RIVER AGING FOUNDATION, INC.
"Gifts
For the Future"
The White River Aging Foundation, Inc.
is a 501C 3 tax exempt, non profit organization created by the White River
Area Agency On Aging, Inc. to promote contributions and generate financial
resources to fund services for seniors in the future.
In creating the Foundation, the White River
Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is anticipating the explosive growth of the
older population as a result of the baby boom generation reaching 65 years
of age and older. At the same time, State and Federal Funding have
not kept pace with inflation and the increasing older population.
This will put a greater demand on local funding sources as the demand for
service increases.
The Foundation was created to give the
public and corporate community an avenue to help meet this demand.
It is the intent of the Foundation to operate off the “interest only” portion
of the Foundation. It is estimated that the Foundation will need
to generate $18 million in assets to annually fund $1 million in services
without reducing the principal amount.
